Customer Spotlight: The Cedar Bench That Started It All

A Weekend Project Turned Passion

Earlier this year, longtime customer Tom Hadley stopped by looking for a good hand saw. He’d inherited a stack of reclaimed cedar from his grandfather’s old barn and wanted to build a bench for his front porch. He had never done much woodworking before.

After talking through his plans, Marcus from our sales team helped him choose a Japanese pull saw for clean, precise cuts, along with a few tips on technique. Tom came back a few weeks later, not with a question, but with a photo of the finished bench.

“I couldn’t believe how good the cedar looked once it was cut and sanded,” Tom told us. “Now I’ve already started on a matching table.”
